On August 27, 2024, an international conference was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on the topic "Afghanistan under the Taliban: How Do Neighbors and Powers Respond to Them?". The conference was opened by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate Oliy Majlis, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev.

Experts from Central Asia, Germany, China, India and Russia, representatives of the Diplomatic Academy and professors of the UWED took part in the conference. The political, economic and social stability of Afghanistan was discussed in detail at the conference.

During the discussion experts exchanged opinions on the issues of cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade and economic relations between the interim government of Afghanistan and the main subjects of regional and global politics. Experts paid special attention to the new trends, problems and development prospects of regional security system.
