Education:
Bachelor of Science (1976) and Master of Science in Economics from the Tashkent State University, where he has also completed doctoral work on Problems of labour productivity in the industry in 1984.
As well as he was a visiting scholar at the Harvard University Institute for International Development (1990-1991) and has numerous publications on issues of economy, security and international relations.

Ambassador Abdusamat Khaydarov is currently serving as director of the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, MFA of Uzbekistan.
He was Head of the Political Affairs Division, United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) since early 2014 up to the end of 2016. From 2007 to 2014 he served as Head of UNAMA Western and Southern Regional offices.
Before joining UNAMA, A.Khaydarov had a long career as diplomat and expert оn the Central and South Asian regions. After Uzbekistan’s independence in 1991, he served in the MFA and later as Chief Consultant to the Office of the President of Uzbekistan on interstate and foreign economic relations.
From 1996 – 1999, he served as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Iran and thereafter returned to Tashkent where he served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (1999-2000).
He has authored more than 70 publications, monographs and books on international affairs and security issues, including studies on Afghanistan, Iran, Central and South Asia.
A.Khaydarov is fluent in Dari, Farsi, Russian, and English.
RAKHIMOV TIMUR ABDURASHITOVICH
Timur Rakhimov is currently serving as Deputy Director of the Diplomatic academy at the University of world economy and diplomacy, MFA of Uzbekistan.
From the beginning of 2021 to November 2022, he headed the Department, and was the Chief Scientific Specialist of the Department of Political Studies of the International Institute of Central Asia.
Since 1991 he worked in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He worked in various positions in the Consular Department, Departments for Cooperation with European countries, as well as for Department of Cooperation with the countries of America.
Several times he was sent to the Embassies of the Republic of Uzbekistan in foreign countries for diplomatic missions in the BeNeLux countries (1997-1999), Italy (2002-2005), the Mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan to NATO (2010-2012), as well as in the Republic of Kazakhstan (2016-2020). He was the plenipotentiary representative of the National Information and Analytical Center for Drug Control under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center on combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in Almaty (2016-2018).
Participated in the preparation of materials for visits at the Highest and High levels, has a number of publications in the media of Uzbekistan and Foreign Countries on international relations and countries of Central Asia.
He has the Diplomatic Rank of First Class Counselor.
