On December 7, 2024, the Diplomatic Academy will host a lecture by former Indian Ambassador to the United States and Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla on "Contemporary India-US Relations". Professors and teachers, students, master's and doctoral students of UWED and the Diplomatic Academy are invited. The lecture will be held online in auditorium 110, building "B" of UWED.

Harsh Vardhan Shringla is the former Deputy Minister of External Affairs of India (2020-22), was the Chief Coordinator of the G20 summit (2022-23), which was held under the chairmanship of India. In the diplomatic service since 1984.

In 2023, Shringla was awarded the Sri Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) for his contribution to global diplomacy and philanthropy. He is a strategic advisor to several top-tier Indian corporations.
