The Week of International Partnership Initiatives “New Uzbekistan: Development, Innovation and Education” is being held in Tashkent from October 17 to 25, 2024. The main goal of the event is to create a dialog platform with the participation of Uzbek and foreign experts to exchange views on the new goals and objectives set for the government of Uzbekistan, as well as to discuss best practices and adoption of recommendations of international financial institutions to identify promising plans in the development of New Uzbekistan.

On October 18, within the framework of the Week's events, representatives of the Academy and UWED took part in a round table organized by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan on “Reforms in the field of transport, public-private partnership projects and the role of international cooperation processes in the field”.  The session aimed at further strengthening mutually beneficial ties of Uzbekistan with foreign partners for the development of transport and logistics system of our country, as well as for creating a dialog platform for exchange of views on international experience and best practices.

According to the assessments of international participants, Uzbekistan today demonstrates a serious potential for the development of the transport sector and joint efforts will help the country to become a regional transport hub in the future. “Week of International Partnership Initiatives in Uzbekistan”, along with other directions, is aimed at attracting investments, developing cooperation with international organizations and creating attractive conditions for business in the field of transport.
