On 24 September 2026, the second day of the “Central Asia - Japan” Think Tank Forum was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). The forum focused on the theme “Promoting Common Visions for the Development and Cooperation between Central Asia and Japan.”

The prestigious international expert forum brought together representatives of leading think tanks, research institutions, government and business circles, as well as scholars and experts from the countries of Central Asia, Japan and Azerbaijan. A representative of the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy also participated in the forum.

The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Japan, including the development of transport and digital connectivity, new technologies and artificial intelligence, education, humanitarian ties, and expert dialogue.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants emphasized the importance of further expanding interregional expert and academic cooperation, as well as developing joint research initiatives and educational projects.
