On April 14, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a public speaking contest in Hindi, dedicated to the celebration of the Hindi language.

The contest was opened by the Rector of UWED, S.Safaev. The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Ms. Smita Pant, Indian diplomats, as well faculty members and students of the university.

During the event, students demonstrated their knowledge and public speaking skills in Hindi. At the conclusion of the contest, the best participants were selected and awarded by H.E. Ms. Smita Pant.

The contest reflected a strong interest among students in learning foreign languages and contributed to strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and India.
