On April 21, 2026, the Diplomatic Academy under the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a scientific and practical seminar on “The Contemporary Geostrategic Situation in the Middle East and Uzbekistan,” with the participation of master’s students from the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the Diplomatic Academy.
The main objective of the event was to conduct an in-depth study of current geopolitical processes taking place in the Middle East region, as well as their significance for the countries of Central Asia, in particular for Uzbekistan and regional cooperation.
During the seminar, participants exchanged views on pressing issues of regional security, the expansion of economic cooperation, and the integration of transport and logistics systems. In addition, scientific and analytical assessments were presented regarding the impact of geostrategic processes on global and regional development.
The event was attended by the academic staff of the Diplomatic Academy and the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, as well as PhD candidates and master’s students of UWED.
