On April 5, 2024, a scientific seminar of the methodological council was held with the participation of employees, researchers and students of the Diplomatic academy at the UWED on the topic “Actual problems of stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan”.

At the seminar Director of the Diplomatic academy, doctor of political science, professor A.Khaydarov, deputy director of the Institute of Advanced International Studies associate professor A.Umarov and also in online format professor I.Abdullaev of the University of Giessen delivered their reports. At the end of the seminar during the open discussion detailed answers were given to the questions of the participants. At the same time general opinion was expressed that more likewise events would be held in order to explore Afghanistan's role and place in the development of Central Asia.
