From May 11 to 15 of this year, a training course for young diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman was organized at the Diplomatic Academy of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).
Lectures on the history, political, and economic activities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as international relations in Central Asia, were delivered by academics from the Diplomatic Academy and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Rashid Al Maskari, Head of the Department of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, gave a lecture on the foreign policy of the Sultanate of Oman on the final day of the training course for young diplomats of the Sultanate of Oman. A round table was also held on the prospects of Uzbek-Omani relations.
On May 15, in solemnly atmosphere, the students were awarded certificates of completion of the training course, where the final speeches were made by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Rector of UWED S.Safoev, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B. Aloev, the Director of the Diplomatic Academy at the UWED, A. Khaydarov, the Ambassador of the Sultan of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Wafa Jabr Nasser al-Busaidi and the Head of the GCC Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Rashid al Maskari.
The aforementioned course's arrangement and content were greatly welcomed and commended by the students, who also emphasized the significance of such courses in fostering the growth of bilateral relations.
