Талантливый учёный, дипломат и видный научный деятель, Вы прошли насыщенный профессиональный путь. За прошедшие годы, работая на различных ответственных должностях в системе МИД, Аппарата Президента Республики Узбекистан, приобрели бесценный опыт и достойно представляли нашу страну в качестве Чрезвычайного и Полномочного Посла в Индии. В настоящее время Вы передаёте свой богатый опыт молодому поколению узбекской дипломатии в Университете мировой экономики и дипломатии Министерства иностранных дел Республики Узбекистан
и Дипломатической академии.

Особо хотелось бы отметить Вашу активную общественную и творческую деятельность, искреннюю заботу о сохранении и продолжении богатых традиций отечественной дипломатии. Вы являетесь автором ряда научных статей, книг и учебников по которым занимаются будущие дипломаты. Вся Ваша жизнь посвящена поистине благородной и ответственной задаче – служению родине.

Это солидный этап в жизни человека, когда на основе наработанного и богатого жизненного опыта определяются новые перспективные цели.

On June 3, 2023, in the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Korea headed by Foreign Minister Park Jin to the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

During this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin was awarded the degree of Honorary Doctor of UWED for his great contribution to strengthening Uzbek-South Korean multilateral relations, expanding cooperation in the field of science and culture. Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev presented Pak Jin with a certificate of awarding an honorary doctorate.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed at the meeting between the Diplomatic academy of the Republic of Korea and the Diplomatic academy at the UWED, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The memorandum was signed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee Sang and the Director of the Diplomatic academy Abdusamat Khaydarov.

The event ended with a round table on the topic “The situation on the Korean peninsula and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Korea”.

About the meeting held at the Institute of Diplomatic Studies named after Prince Saud al-Faisal under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On may 30, 2023, as part of the visit of the leadership of the University of world economy and diplomacy (UWED) to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), a meeting was held at the Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies under the KSA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, the issues of establishing cooperation between the Diplomatic academy at UWED set up at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan were discussed and the following agreements were reached:

- Organization mutual staff exchange with the aim of delivering lectures on the issues of the current situation in the regions of Central Asia and the Middle East;

- Conducting a joint scientific conference in the third quarter of 2023 on further enhancing collaboration between the regions of Central Asia and the Middle East, including analysis of the current dynamics of Uzbek-Saudi relations;

- Organization of short-term training courses for attendees of the Diplomatic academy on a free of charge basis in the city of Riyadh;

- Organization of training courses in the city of Riyadh for specialists in the field of banking and finance of Uzbekistan in the fields of Islamic finance;

- Organization of training courses in the fields of economic diplomacy for young diplomats;

Meetings and dialogues were held in a constructive spirit. The leadership of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies has stated its interest in further expanding the scope of cooperation with the UWED.

On May 29, 2023, a round table "Uzbekistan and Italy: New facets of cooperation" was held in Rome, organized by the Italian Society of International Organizations (Società Italiana per l'organizzazione Internazionale).

The participants discussed issues of establishing cooperation in the field of politics, trade, sustainable development, energy efficient consumption, "green economy", transport, logistics and security in the region.

Within the framework of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Diplomatic academy at the University of world economy and diplomacy and the Italian society of international organizations. A mutual hope was expressed that the further development of cooperation between them will make
a worthy contribution to the improvement of relations between the two states.

Today, on May 17, 2023, at the Diplomatic academy at the University of world economy and diplomacy is being held a meeting of the Scientific council of the Diplomatic academy.

On May 15, 2023, the Diplomatic academy at the University of world economy and diplomacy organized a ceremony of awarding certificates to students of the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan who completed the course "Fundamentals of foreign political activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Diplomatic protocol, etiquette and negotiation process".

On May 11, 2023, at the Diplomatic academy at the University of world conomy and diplomacy was held  a videoconference with the leadership of the Diplomatic academy of Turkey in order to establish working contacts and establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkish partners.

On May 10, 2023, at the Diplomatic academy at the University of world conomy and diplomacy was held  a videoconference with the leadership of the Diplomatic academy of Germany in order to establish working contacts and establish mutually beneficial cooperation with German partners.

Information about the meeting with the SaferWorld delegation

On May 5 this year, at the Diplomatic academy at the University of world economy and diplomacy, a meeting was held with the project manager of the NGO "SaferWorld" in Uzbekistan G. Zhumaboeva and the adviser of "SaferWorld" on the prevention of regional conflicts in Central Asia I. Jones.
